Injured Police Officer Fund Car Show

What to do this weekend

Well, if you are looking for something to do this weekend and want to get out of town...Bakersfield is the place to be for those of you who enjoy drag racing...March Meet...two of my favorite photographers will be sharing pics... can't wait.

If you are going to be in town, start your weekend off at the Dairy Queen (near Santa Fe Station) for an evening of good friends, good food and great vehicles. If you are a street racer, the Strip will be having it's "Midnight Mayhem".

Saturday morning, the Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway will be the home of Jr. Dragster racing at it's best. Moms and Dads, grandparents and brothers and sisters will be supporting these young drivers to victory.

Sunday morning the place to be is Santa Fe Mining Company parking lot.

So not much to do, but stayed tuned for upcoming events.

Busy Weekend at Las Vegas Motor Speedway

March Sonic Nite

The place to be Saturday night at 6PM is Sonic Drive In at 5725 E. Charleston Blvd. (Charleston/Sloan)...come by and sit awhile...see old friends, meet new friends...all with the love of cars, trucks, bikes, etc. There will be Hot Wheel Races (registration starts at 5:30PM) so if you are planning on getting a good spot, get there early. Stop by and see Patty for the tonight's manager special for cruisers. See you there...

Life goes on after NASCAR

Here in Las Vegas, there is quite a bit to do as far as motorsports...we have the desert, the asphalt, we go around in circles, in a straightline and sometimes sideways. Well, some of us just like to park and enjoy some great company.

After a weekend of NASCAR, the Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway will open the gates to those who have waited patiently through the rain, wind, hail to run their cars down the quarter mile. Later in the evening, Sonic Drive In located at 5725 E. Charleston Blvd will host Sonic Nite from 6PM-9PM...cruise in and enjoy good food, great looking cars and for those who have a hot wheel or two, bring them and join the hot wheel races (registration starts at 5:30PM, races begin at 6PM)

Then comes Sunday at Santa Fe Mining Company....heard good things about this event...I'm gonna have to check this one out for myself....See you at a cruise, car show, or at the track!!!
